In prestigious universities around the world tiny pockets of quiet rebellion were sprouting up against the world view of Newton and Darwin, the dualism in physics and the current view of human perception. During his search, Ed began making contact with scientists with impressive credentials at many of the big reputable universities - Yale, Stanford, Berkeley, Princeton, the University of Edinburgh - who were coming up with discoveries that just didn't fit. Unlike Edgar, these scientists hadn't undergone an epiphany to arrive at a new world view.

In fact, 1 in 30,000 girls and 1 in 15,000 boys between the ages of 15 and 19 will develop melanoma. Overweight people and pregnant women seem to get them more often than others. Although these growths can be cosmetically compromising, they're not cancerous. Sometimes skin tags will bleed and even become infected if you cut or rip them off.

Mental training increases dendritic sprouting and enhances central nervous system plasticity. "Stress management is crucial because chronic, unbalanced stress causes elevation of the hormone Cortisol," Dr. Khalsa says. "Cortisol has a toxic effect on the memory center of the brain and can cause memory loss. The stress management tool of meditation decreases Cortisol and enhances many aspects of mental function. Massage and guided mental imagery have also recently been shown to lower Cortisol levels in the blood.
We studied urine therapy and acupuncture, and began to use colonics and sprouting. My husband has fewer seizures today, has more energy and enhanced memory, and enjoys his new diet. He is enthusiastic and looks forward to his seventy-fifth birthday. We are energetic and without intestinal problems, and we handle stress well because we are no longer toxic. My female organs function as well as they did in my younger years. Our naturopath told me I avoided fracturing a hip during a fall because my bones are well mineralized.

During the time they are sprouting, rinse them under cool water at least 2 times or they will acquire a musty smell and taste. At the end of 16 hours, rinse well under cool water and strain. This mixture will last at least 3 days in the refrigerator. To eat, mash a ripe, raw banana in a bowl and add 1 or 2 tablespoons of natural strawberry jam. Add 1 cup, or desired amount, of sprouted seeds and grains. Mix well. RAW CRACKERS Raw crackers are made with the use of a food processor or a strong blender, such as the VitaMix?
Sprouts are highly regarded for their detoxification, healing, and rejuvenation qualities. The sprouting action of a raw seed causes it to be partially predigested, which breaks down concentrated starches into more simple carbohydrates. At the same time, protein is broken down into free amino acids. This predigestion means the sprout requires fewer enzymes from the body to complete the digestion process before use. The digestion and absorption of the food becomes more efficient. Even though raw nuts, seeds, and grains have high nutritional values, they have limitations.
Raw nuts and seeds should be soaked overnight to deactivate the enzyme inhibitors that are in them to prevent premature sprouting. Soaking nuts and seeds makes them more digestible and increases their enzyme content by up to twenty times. Excellent milk substitutes can be freshly made in a blender using living water plus a few raw almonds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, coconut powder, or a combination of a couple of these according to your taste. Blended hemp seeds and water alone makes an excellent milk substitute.

The leaves are basal, sprouting from an ovate, brown bulb. They are erect, linear, flatly grooved, and have 2 grooves rather than a keel. Characteristics: Daffodil has a weak unpleasant odor and is poisonous. Habitat: The plant is found all over Europe and is cultivated elsewhere. Production: Daffodil is the flowering plant Narcissus pseudonarcissus without the root.
It has a divided rhizome with brown fibers sprouting numerous erect, corrugated, round, tall stems. The leaves are odd-pinnate; the leaflets are 1.5 to 4 cm long and 4 to 16 mm wide elliptical to lanceolate and thorny-tipped with a rich green upper surface and a lighter undersurface. Characteristics: The plant is without odor unless bruised, whereupon it emits a disagreeable smell, which probably gave rise to the common name Goat's Rue. Habitat: Grows wild in Europe and Asia.
Leaves, Stem and Root: Artemisia cina is an evergreen, perennial semi-shrub, 30 to 60 cm high with many slim sprouting stems. The knarled rhizome produces numerous leaf and flower branches. The stems are smooth and woody and the leaves pinnatifid on the non-flowering branches. The leaves on the flowering branches are small and entire-margined. Characteristics: The odor is aromatic and characteristic, the taste bitter. Habitat: The plant is indigenous to Iran, Turkestan, and the Kirghizin Steppes around Buchara. Production: Wormwood flowers are the inflorescent buds of Artemisia cina.
Leaves, Stem and Root: Ajuga Reptans is a shrub, up to 30 cm high with overground rooting runners sprouting from the rosette-like basal leaves. The flower stem is quadrangular, villous above and glabrous below. The rest of the plant is glabrous. The basal leaves are large, long-petioled, spatulate and dentate. The cauline leaves are crossed opposite, short-petioled, small and oval. The lowest or at least the third lowest stem is flower-bearing. There are some upper false whorls, which are compressed into a false spike.

The only seeds sprouting are those weeds and shrubs planted by others, or by the wind and birds. Yet you continue to tend and cultivate those haphazard plants with your resources. This perfect garden, containing none of your own seeds, is what your mind is like when you have no definite goals. If you have no crop to nurture to an edible state, you drift along with the vagaries, whims and goals of others. If you are not working to achieve your own goals, you are always working to achieve another's goals. Everything you do, every day, is actually for the achievement of goals.
MY PERSONAL DIET 1 My challenge for this lesson is for you to begin bringing plants into your life, Start with simple house plants, sprouting trays, a greenhouse and/or a backyard garden. 2 Eating raw plant food is the way to live in total harmony with the Earth. What if you took all the fruit and vegetable remnants left over from what you ate and, instead of throwing them away, you used them to fertilize your plants? Make your home beautiful.
If not eaten fresh from below the plant or tree, you might consider soaking nuts and seeds in water and/or sprouting them for 3-12 hours to disarm their enzyme inhibitors. Enzyme inhibitors keep nuts and seeds in their dormant state until conditions are right for growth. If eaten in the dormant state without green leaves to help along digestion, nuts and seeds can burden the pancreas and sit "heavy" in the stomach. If you eat nuts in moderation and eat nuts with green-leafed vegetables, then you need not worry about soaking or mucus formation.

Dr Ann Wigmore lived the last several years of her life almost completely on blended foods, a large part of which consisted of greens. She noticed that blended foods were assimilated more easily.

In addition, the conditions provided by germinating seeds— abundant nutrients, high levels of moisture, and heat generated by the sprouting process—are all conducive to the growth of bacteria. Because of these outbreaks, in August 1998, the Food and Drug Administration reaffirmed a warning that had been issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in 1997 for high-risk groups to avoid eating raw alfalfa sprouts, and the International Sprout Growers Association (ISGA) began a voluntary quality assurance program.
